Sowerby Bridge chased down a target of 223 all out set by Almondbury Wesleyan to lift the Rod Warhurst Cup. Darren Chapman's men overtook the target with three overs to spare in a game in which fortunes swung to and fro under the hot sun. Shazad Bostan hit the winning runs watched from the non-striker's end by Andy Mellor in his last ever game. Ian Kenworthy and his team battled all the way in a hugely entertaining match that was a great advert for the section. Man of the match was Matthew Harrison but there were a number of contenders for the title from both teams.

The Old Town club, small as it is, proved themselves well up to the task of hosting a memorable Cup Final.
